The warm season arrives, and with it comes the desire to go out, to be outdoors, surrounded by greenery to enjoy some peace and tranquility.
For this reason, we at Tenuta Torre Rossa want to recommend some truly unique places where you can spend a beautiful day in the midst of nature and why not, for a nice family picnic! Hoping that soon we can return to move with greater freedom, here are some of our favorite places!

The city park
If you like the idea of visiting the city and then enjoying a lunch in the middle of the greenery to rest, the Cascine Park is just the thing for you. It is about 15 minutes walk from the center of Florence, so you can enjoy both Florence and relaxation in nature.

Vallombrosa
Just 35 km from Florence, you can immerse yourself in a beautiful area shaded by centuries-old trees, where you can spread your tablecloth. Nearby you can also visit the Vallombrosa Abbey, where you can buy the products of the Benedictine monks.

The Medici park
Another destination to consider is the Villa Demidoff Park, just outside Florence.
After a nice lunch on the grass you can visit the monumental area where you can find works such as the Buontalenti Chapel and the statue of the Giant of the Apennines by Giambologna.

The pass
If the day is particularly hot and you want to enjoy some coolness away from the city, then we recommend the Consuma pass. It is certainly a popular destination for motorcyclists, but also suitable for a picnic on the grass, with a nice local dunk!
Obviously, our estate is also perfect for a picnic, for those who prefer a reserved, quiet and peaceful space. And why not take advantage of the swimming pool for an afternoon dip?
